Yes! We offer beginner and open-level ballet classes for adults in a welcoming, non-intimidating environment.

🎓 Curriculum & Exams

We follow the RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) and the Vaganova Method—both internationally recognised and structured for progressive learning. While RAD offers a strong British-based framework focused on safe technique and exam readiness, the Vaganova Method, originating from Russia, is renowned for producing world-class dancers through its emphasis on strength, artistry, and expressive movement.

Exams are optional but highly encouraged for students on the professional or DSA track.

Yes. We provide specialised coaching for DSA (Direct School Admission) and audition prep for SOTA and other performing arts schools.

📈 Progress Acceleration – Terms & Conditions

Advancement through syllabus levels (e.g., skipping a grade) is not automatic and will only be permitted based on:

  • Ongoing teacher assessment
  • Technical and artistic readiness
  • Consistent class attendance and home practice
  • Approval by the Director of Dance

Students must demonstrate mastery of required technique before being allowed to skip a grade.

Viva reserves the right to defer advancement if foundational gaps are observed.

Students being considered for accelerated progression may be required to:

  • Attend additional private or coaching sessions
  • Complete a mock exam or internal assessment
  • Participate in Progress Clinics or Exam-Prep Intensives

These sessions may incur additional fees.

Only students who consistently:

  • Show discipline and focus
  • Perform at a high technical and artistic level
  • Attend classes regularly and punctually

…will be considered for acceleration or elite-track placement.

While Viva provides structured exam preparation, exam outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

Factors influencing exam results include:

Viva maintains a high distinction rate but reserves the right to recommend delaying exams if readiness is not met.

Placement in the Ballet Rising Star Programme is by:

  • Teacher referral
  • Evaluation or audition
  • Consistent demonstration of advanced technique and performance potential

Participation in this programme includes additional expectations and commitments, governed by its own Terms & Conditions.

Students in accelerated tracks will undergo termly evaluations to review:

  • Technical development

  • Physical and emotional readiness

Viva may adjust progression pace at any time in the best interest of the student’s long-term development.

Parents must be informed and provide written consent before any grade-skipping or exam acceleration is implemented.
