Viva Ballet Competition 2016

Night in Vienna -Year end concert
(SOTA – School of Arts – The Gallery)

A great Journey in the Capital city of the Classical Music and Ballet where Viva School students have worked very hard throughout the year to share on the stage what they have learned and achieved.

Vienna is the world’s capital of music. More famous composers have lived here than in any other city. One of its most sought-after “export goods” is the Viennese Waltz, the dance in three quarter time that waltz king Johann Strauss triumphantly took across the globe. The music of the “Strausses” has lost none of its fascination down the years. Their waltz and operetta melodies resound in concert houses and at the traditional New Year’s concert, which is broadcast to the whole world from Golden Hall of the Musikverein. Perhaps the most famous concert in the world, it is broadcast by television to an audience of millions in over 147 countries. Each year more than 450 balls take place in Vienna.

It is a dream of every classical music and dance maker to visit this city. We thought how great it would be to bring all our students to Vienna. It would be a rather expensive endeavour. Instead, we transport ourselves mentally, by performing the musical and ballet masterpieces that sound every day in Vienna.
